Senior Student Goes Missing with Junior Over Exam Fear; Case Becomes a Challenge for Police!

The parents are in constant agony, weeping for their children. The public is requested to immediately contact the nearest police station if any information regarding these students is found.

Bengaluru: The incident that took place in the Vidyaranyapura area of Bengaluru stands as a testament to what exam fear can drive students to do. A 2nd PUC student has gone missing along with her junior to escape exams, leaving both the police and their families in tears for the past month.

Background: Fleeing to Avoid Exams?

Tanishka (2nd PUC) and Tejaswini (1st PUC) from the Vidyaranyapura jurisdiction have been missing since January 31. As the exams approached, the duo left their homes carrying only their Aadhaar cards and college bags. Notably, they left their mobile phones behind at home to avoid being tracked. They also did not carry any financial means, including ATM cards.

Past History and Police Suspicion

It is reported that one of the missing students had previously attempted suicide by slitting her wrist to avoid exams last year. Police suspect that this year, too, both might have fled due to the same fear of examinations. It is suspected that they are traveling across various parts of the state using the free bus facility.

A Call from Mahadeshwara Hills!

A few days ago, the two students reportedly called their friends and informed them that they were at Mahadeshwara Hills. Although they promised to call back within a week, they have not been in contact with anyone since then. The police have already conducted searches in over 50 locations, but no significant clues have been found so far.

Family Approaches High Court: One-Week Deadline

Distraught after a month of their children being missing, the parents have filed a Habeas Corpus petition in the High Court. Taking the case seriously, the court has granted the police a one-week deadline to locate the students. The parents are in constant agony, weeping for their children. The public is requested to immediately contact the nearest police station if any information regarding these students is found.
