Sasikala-Ramadoss Alliance: A New Battle in Tamil Nadu..!

The two leaders made the joint declaration at Ramadoss's farmhouse in Thailapuram near Tindivanam, Villupuram district, signaling a new electoral combine ahead of the April 23, 2026, Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Tamil Nadu's political landscape has taken a fresh turn with VK Sasikala, founder of the All India Puratchi Thalaivar Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AIPTMMK), announcing an alliance with S Ramadoss, founder of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), on Friday.

The two leaders made the joint declaration at Ramadoss's farmhouse in Thailapuram near Tindivanam, Villupuram district, signaling a new electoral combine ahead of the April 23, 2026, Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

This partnership aims to contest all 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu (and Puducherry) as a "combined force" or "victorious alliance," focusing on good governance, social justice, and people-centric policies.YouBella Gifts Stylish Latest Traditional Gold Plated Pearl Choker Jwell Necklace Jewellery Set with Earrings for Girls and Women

Analysts note it could disrupt vote shares, especially in Vanniyar-dominated northern districts (where Ramadoss holds influence) and southern/delta regions (linked to Sasikala's Amma loyalist base and Thevar communities).

The alliance emerges amid internal rifts: Ramadoss faces estrangement from his son Anbumani Ramadoss, who controls the main PMK and aligns with NDA (including AIADMK). Sasikala, barred from contesting until 2027 due to past conviction, leads her new outfit inspired by Jayalalithaa's ideals after her fallout with AIADMK.West Bengal Elections, After BJP, CPI(M) announced their 32 candidates.

Though neither faction may win many seats outright, the tie-up is expected to split votes significantly, dealing a strong blow to AIADMK and existing PMK candidates in key areas.

Political observers view it as introducing a new dimension, potentially altering the NDA-DMK balance and creating a multi-cornered contest.Trudeau’s exit and Mark Carney’s coming to power, benefits India
