Bengaluru: On the final day of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly’s Budget Session, a sharp personal war of words broke out between Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and BJP MLA Munirathna during the discussion on Bengaluru’s development.
DK Shivakumar initially spoke in a conciliatory tone, stating that the development of Bengaluru cannot be achieved by one person alone and requires cooperation from both the ruling and opposition parties. He said everyone’s suggestions were necessary.
However, towards the end of the debate, while responding to Munirathna, the discussion turned highly personal. When Shivakumar remarked that he would reply to “Muttu Ratna” at the end, Munirathna reacted strongly.
