Finally, Iran has disclosed the in charge of Iran. Not officially, but the turn of events of past three days, it clearly indicated Ahmad Vahidi is actually making recent decisions. After the exit of Larijani, there seem to be a vacuum in Iran’s military hierarchy. Though Mojtaba Khamenei, is the supremo no one has seen him from February 28th. There are ample of speculations and some even speculate, Mojtaba too might have been gunned down on 28th.

Despite Pezeshkian being the president of Iran, one could not see much of activities from him, except his letter to US citizens yesterday.

Vahidi is officially head of the transition and security council. He is the former interior Minister of Iran also held Commander position in IRGC. While Mojtaba Khamenei holds the title of Supreme Leader, Vahidi is effectively the "Operational In-Charge" of Iran's domestic and regional defence. He has been assigned with preventing internal dissent and coordinating the "tit-for-tat" infrastructure strikes against U.S. and Gulf interests.

As an Interior Minister, he controlled the provincial governors and police forces, making him the only man capable of enforcing order after the Karaj bridge strikes and the death of the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

The official statement of blowing up seven bridges had come from Vahidi.
