Just 90 minutes before President Trump’s deadline, Iran has submitted a bold 10-point plan via Pakistani mediation.

Tehran: Iran has officially announced 10-point peace plan, through Pakistan mediation. The request has come just before 90 minutes of Trump’s deadline. US president described the request as, "workable basis on which to negotiate." The plan intends a permanent solution, then a temporary ceasefire. Lifting of Sanctions: The immediate removal of all primary and secondary U.S. sanctions against Iran, as Iran faces extreme sanctions, next to Russia.

Acceptance of Nuclear Program: Formal international approval of Iran’s uranium enrichment program for intended peaceful purposes.

Control of the Strait of Hormuz: Continued and expanded Iranian oversight and control over the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. Military Withdrawal: The withdrawal of all U.S. combat forces from the "West Asia" (Middle East) region. Complete dismantle of US base in Middle East.

Cessation of Attacks: A complete and permanent end to all military strikes against Iran, its territory, and its regional allies including groups in Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthis in Iraq, and Hamas in Yemen.

Release of Assets: The immediate release of all frozen Iranian financial assets globally.

Ending UN/IAEA Measures: The termination of all UN Security Council resolutions and IAEA Board of Governors measures currently active against Iran to make it autonomous.

Reconstruction & Compensation: Provisions for reconstruction in affected areas and financial compensation for damages incurred during the conflicts and all those assets damaged in the strikes.

UNSC Binding Resolution: UN Security Council resolution has to make the entire 10-point agreement binding under international law and make 10 points legal.

Possibly, Iran’s presentation of 10 points, is due to Trump’s deadline of 7th April, till 8 pm.

Though The White House has acknowledged the plan as a starting point for negotiations, the demands like sanctions removal and complete dismantling the US base, will not be acceptable for US. Iran has also indicated a gradual and slow opening of Strait of Hormuz. Yet another blow to Congress, will they exist in Indian political arena for more than a decade?

Now all eyes on Islamabad and the global community hopes for the concrete outcome.
