In connection with a drug trafficking case, actor Srikanth was summoned for police questioning on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Following a commotion related to a bar incident in Nungambakkam, Chennai, several individuals including executive officer Prasad and Ajayg Vandayar were arrested. Subsequently, the police conducted a medical examination of actor Srikanth and seized 11 grams of cocaine in the process.

It was discovered that Pradeep Kumar had been selling drugs to Prasad since 2023. Further investigation revealed that actor Srikanth had also purchased drugs from Prasad.

Due to multiple fraud complaints and FIRs, Srikanth was taken into custody. Upon examining his mobile phone, police found evidence of his direct contact with cocaine traffickers. Based on this, the police also arrested Pradeep Kumar, a friend of Prasad, and John, a man from Ghana, West Africa.

Following these arrests, Srikanth was brought to his house where a search was conducted. Since no drugs were found at his residence, the police took him to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital for a blood test.

Later, he was taken back to the Nungambakkam Police Station for further questioning. Police stated that confirmation about his drug consumption will be known only after the test results are released.

During interrogation, Pradeep Kumar revealed that another actor is also involved, and police are planning to question him as well. In his statement, Pradeep admitted that he witnessed Srikanth consuming cocaine multiple times through Prasad, and that he had sold drugs to Prasad around 40 times, earning approximately ₹5–6 lakh.
