In the Ahmedabad Air India plane crash case, where 265 people lost their lives, the Supreme Court has issued a notice seeking an independent and impartial investigation.

The Supreme Court is set to hear a petition related to an independent investigation into the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. The court has opined that it cannot be accepted that the pilot alone was entirely responsible for the crash. Based on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), the Supreme Court has issued notices to the central government and relevant authorities.

The petition emphasizes the need for an independent, impartial, and expeditious investigation into the crash. The court has sought responses from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB). The Supreme Court has clarified that this notice is solely to ensure an independent, impartial, and expeditious investigation.

Senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, arguing on behalf of the petitioners, stated that even 100 days after the crash, only a preliminary report has been released. He argued that this report does not disclose the true causes of the accident or suggest necessary safety measures for the future.read also: Chalavadi Math’s Basavana Gideva Sri Swamiji Instructs Which Caste to Write in Census Column…!!

Bhushan contended that the five-member committee formed for the crash investigation includes three DGCA officials. Therefore, an impartial investigation by this committee is not possible, he opined.Veirdo® 100% Pure Cotton Regular Fit Half Sleeve Solid Core Round Neck Multicolor T-Shirt Combo for Men (Pack of 3)
